There is a reason JWT has the maps the same and it is not for the reason you stated..... When running higher boost levels it is very dangerous to lower timing after a problem happens. If you had a problem and started detonating , A hot spot would occur in the cyl. If you then lowered the timing the cyl temps would go off the charts and kill the motor instantly. VERY DANGEROUS! There is a lot more to tuning then you might think and you should leave it to experienced professionals. JWT starts with a conservative program and with higher boost levels is safe without a safety map and infact is much safer then a stock ECU with a safety map. The fact that the program is rich at the top end makes it safe for pump fuel and the timing is at the safest levels for higher boost and pump fuel as well. There is a reason JWT has been around for so long. I am not going to debate different chips, But I felt more insite was needed.
